Details Shortly after the noon hour on Halloween, Madison Police were called to a Mobil gas station after a man threatened to kill the clerk. The victim, and witnesses, say the suspect wanted the clerk to come outside, and was pounding on the bullet proof glass behind which the victim was working. When officers arrived they witnessed the suspect pointing at the clerk still making deadly threats. Officers later discovered that the suspect had a nine-inch steak knife under his coat. He tried to convince those arresting him that it was only for cutting "rough" meat.
